The R Rewards Programme is a point-based membership programme where clients can earn points (P) by general trading or participating in the campaigns, activities or events specified by Rakuten Securities HK. The points earned through such activities can be used to redeem a variety of rewards which span across dining, shopping, and leisure activities. Check the full list of rewards via the “R Rewards Portal” (login now).

This Programme is specifically designed to reward prestigious clients for continuously trading with us. Each client can participate in the R Rewards Programme with one Rakuten FX live account only, but the registered account can be changed any time as needed. The latest registration of the account registered shall prevail, and the trading volume of the Eligible Account will be computed for the number of points entitled.
Unless otherwise specified, this Programme cannot be used in conjunction with other Promotions, discounts.
Points (P)
Points (P) refers to the points earned from the R Rewards Programme which can be used to redeem different types of rewards via the R Rewards Portal.
In general, you can get 5 points for every 1K you trade on Rakuten FX trading platform. Points can be earned by executing trades on your Rakuten FX live account or by completing tasks during limited-time promotions. Check out our official website or login to R Rewards Portal for the latest offers.
General trading points will be valid until the last calendar day of the 12th month from the actual trading day. For example, points earned from the trading day on 5 March 2024 will expire on 31 March 2025.
For points earned from participating in other campaigns, activities or events specified by Rakuten Securities HK, please refer to the relevant terms and conditions of the relevant campaigns, activities or events regarding the points’ expiration date.
Upon expiration date, the batch of points will be cleared from your points balance immediately. Please refer to the R Rewards Portal for the latest points balance, history, and details for more information.
R Rewards Portal
R Rewards Portal is a platform for registered clients of the Programme to access points balance, point history record and for reward redemption, etc.
Click here to start logging in to the R Rewards Portal. You will be required to login with your registered account number and email address. After successful submission, you will be required to input a one-time password (OTP) for security purposes. Please check your registered email address for the OTP and note that it will be valid for 30 minutes only. After 30 minutes, you will be required to input a new OTP again.
It may take up to 3 business days for points to be reflected on the points balance on your R Rewards Portal for general trading points.
Please make sure you have entered both your registered account number and email address correctly when you login to R Rewards Portal. After successful submission of account number and email address, you will need to enter a one-time password (OTP) to view the contents in R Rewards Portal. Redemption
We offer a variety of reward options including cash rewards and e-vouchers which cover dining, shopping, and leisure activities. Become a participant of the Programme and login to R Rewards Portal now to view the fascinating list of rewards.
All reward redemption requests should be submitted via R Rewards Portal. Please refer to the “Redemption” page on R Rewards Portal.
You can check information such as points balance, history, and rewards redemption information, etc. on R Rewards Portal. It may take up to 3 business days for General Trading Points to be credited and reflected on the points balance on your R Rewards Portal.
Once you successfully submit the redemption request via R Rewards Portal, it may take up to 15 business days for arrangement of the reward. For cash rewards, it will be computed and credited to the Eligible Account. For e-vouchers, please check your registered email address for receiving the e-voucher (e-vouchers could be in the form of QR code, bar code, etc.). If the account is closed before receiving any reward, it is deemed as forfeited.
General terms and conditions
1. The Programme starts on 6 May 2024 at 06:00 a.m. (Hong Kong Time) and will continue until The Programme is terminated in accordance with Clause 7 (“the “Programme Period”).
2. The Programme applies to all clients who are currently holding Rakuten FX Live account of Rakuten Securities Hong Kong Limited (“Rakuten Securities HK”).
3. Clients must register for The Programme through the designated registration page with correct and valid information including their registered email address and Rakuten FX account number (“Eligible Account”). Failure to input accurate information may lead to unsuccessful registration.
4. Each Client can only register one (1) eligible account in The Programme at all times. Clients who want to change their eligible account for The Programme may resubmit their registration through the designated registration page, however, please note that all trading records for point calculation and reward amount of the new registered account will be effective from the next trading day following the registration date.
5. Each Client can only enjoy point calculation with one (1) eligible account in the Programme at all times.
6. Unless otherwise agreed, this Programme cannot be used in conjunction with other promotions.
7. Rakuten Securities HK reserves the right to offer, suspend, vary or discontinue the offers under The Programme and amend the terms and conditions thereof at any time without prior notice. In case of any dispute, the decision of Rakuten Securities HK shall be final and conclusive.
8. Rakuten Securities HK has no responsibility for incomplete, lost, late and damaged forms or unavailable network connections, or delayed electronic transmission which may limit an Eligible Account’s ability to participate in The Programme.
9. The Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
10. The Terms and Conditions are subject to prevailing regulatory requirements.
11. In the event of any discrepancy between the Chinese and English versions of these terms and conditions, the English version shall apply and prevail.
Earning Points
12. Point (“Point”), abbreviated as “P”, is the unit of reward allocated to Eligible Account under The Programme, in which may be used by the Client for redemption of goods or services in the R Rewards Portal (“R Rewards Portal”).
13. In general, Clients can earn 5 points for every 1,000 (1K) trading volume in any currency pairs (no matter open or close) in the Eligible Account (“General Trading Points”).
14. Apart from General Trading Points, clients can earn points from specific promotions (“Promotion Points”). Please refer to the R Rewards Portal or Rakuten Securities HK’s official website for latest promotion details.
15. General Trading Points will be credited and reflected on the Client’s R Rewards Portal in a period of up to 3 working days.
16. Promotion Points will be credited and reflected on the Eligible Client’s R Rewards Portal according to the T&C stated for each promotion.
17. The points earned are non-transferable. They cannot be sold, purchased, exchanged, transferred or assigned to other accounts.
18. Clients should check their latest point balance on the R Rewards Portal from time to time to ensure the relevant general trading points have been credited successfully. All point records in Rakuten Securities HK’s system shall be final and conclusive as to the balance of the points displayed in R Rewards Portal at any time, the amount of General Trading Points received by clients is subjected to the trading records of Rakuten Securities HK.
Expiration of Points
19. General Trading Points are valid until the last calendar day of the 12th month from the actual trading day. For example, the expiry date for points earned from the trading day on 15 March 2024 will expire on 31 March 2025. For points earned from participating in other campaigns, activities or events specified by Rakuten Securities HK, please refer to the relevant terms and conditions of the relevant campaigns, activities or events regarding the points’ expiration date.
20. Any unused points after its expiry date will be forfeited and cannot be carried forward. All expired points will be forfeited upon expiration date and will not be re-issued under any circumstances.
Redemption
21. Clients can redeem rewards using their earned points, and redemption requests can only be submitted through the R Rewards Portal. Please refer to the “Redemption” page on R Rewards Portal for the full list of products or services available for redemption. All visuals and descriptions are for reference only.
22. Upon successful redemption request via R Rewards Portal, the corresponding points will instantly be deducted from the Eligible Account.
23. Clients will be notified by email within up to 15 working days with details of the selected choice of reward (applies to e-vouchers only).
24. For cash reward options, the amount of reward will be credited to the Eligible Account within up to 15 working days upon successful submission of redemption request.
25. For USD denominated currency account, HKD cash reward amount will be converted to USD at the rate of 7.85.
26. Rakuten Securities HK reserves the right to accept or decline your request to redeem the offers and rewards on R Rewards Portal.
27. Redemption requests will be rejected if the Eligible Account’s points balance is insufficient (or if the request is not accepted by Rakuten Securities HK for any other reasons).
28. If the Eligible Account is closed before receiving any rewards and gifts, it is deemed as forfeited.
29. Once a redemption request has been submitted via the R Rewards Portal, no changes or cancellation are allowed, and no refund arrangement will be provided.
30. All points record of the Eligible Account are subject to the system record of Rakuten Securities HK.
31. Clients should refer to the relevant merchants and/or suppliers under The Programme regarding the rewards’ validity periods and detailed terms and conditions.
32. Rakuten Securities HK and participating merchants and suppliers under The Programme reserve the right to change the terms and conditions of the offers, including goods and services, without prior notice. Rakuten Securities HK will not be responsible any losses caused by disputes between Clients and participating merchants and suppliers under The Programme.
33. Rakuten Securities Hong Kong accepts no liability for the quality of the products provided by the supplier(s).
34. Rakuten Securities HK has no responsibility for incomplete, lost, late and damaged forms or unavailable network connections, or delayed electronic transmission which may limit an Eligible Account’s ability to redeem the rewards on R Rewards Portal.
1. The Campaign period is from Hong Kong Time 1 October 2024 (6:00 a.m.) to 30 December 2024 (5:55 a.m.) (“Campaign Period”).
2. This Campaign applies to new clients who successfully open a Rakuten FX account from 1 October 2024 to 30 November 2024 (both dates inclusive) (“Account Opening Period”), and do not currently hold any Rakuten FX trading account and MT4 account with Rakuten Securities HK, and closed any Rakuten FX trading account and MT4 account with Rakuten Securities HK within the past twelve (12) months before the start date of this Campaign (“New Client”).
3. New Client shall successfully register for this Campaign by submitting correct and valid information including their registered email address and Rakuten FX account number on the designated registration page, during the Account Opening Period (“Eligible Account”).
4. There is one-entry per New Client for the Campaign with one (1) eligible account. Clients who want to change their eligible account for the Campaign may resubmit their registration through the designated registration page, however, please note that all deposit and trading record of the latest registered eligible account during the Account Opening Period will be used to determine the amount of welcome points that the Client is eligible to receive and the trading records for general trading points of the new registered account will be effective from the next trading day following the registration date.
5. The trading period is within 30 days upon the date of account opening (“Trading Period”) of the Eligible Account.
6. New client must deposit at least HK$10,000 or US$1,300 to the Eligible Account which opened during the Account Opening Period within their trading period and keeps at least HK$10,000 or US$1,300 net deposit (net deposit = total deposit – total withdrawal, excluding the changes in account equity due to trading) for 15 consecutive calendar days upon the date of deposit into the Eligible Account to receive 125,000 welcome points.
7. New Client shall be entitled 250,000 welcome points for every 1,000,000 (1M) trading volume (no matter open or close) with the Eligible Account during the Trading Period. The maximum amount of welcome points that New Client is entitled from trading shall be 1,250,000 points.
8. Welcome points will be credited to the Eligible Account on or before 31 January 2025.
9. Welcome points are valid until the last calendar day of the 12th month from the day of credit.
10. Unless otherwise agreed, this offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other campaign, programme or promotional offer during the Campaign Period. However, New Client can be entitled to the general trading points in addition to the welcome points of this Campaign during the Campaign Period from the date of successful registration.
11. If the Eligible account is closed before receiving the reward, the rewards are deemed as forfeited.
12. The reward is not transferable to any third parties under any circumstances.

14. Rakuten Securities HK has no responsibility for incomplete, lost, late and damaged forms or unavailable network connections, or delayed electronic transmission which may limit a New Client’s ability to participate in this Campaign.
15. Rakuten Securities HK reserves the right to vary or terminate the Campaign at any time and to amend the terms and conditions of the offers from time to time without prior notice.
16. In the event of dispute arising out of this Campaign, the decision of Rakuten Securities HK shall be final and binding on all parties concerned.
17. The Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
